Job Summary
The Medical Director, Sexual Assault Service Lead will provide medical leadership and direction to the Sexual Assault Service at BC Women's Hospital and Health Centre. This position includes approximately FTE of clinical leadership and is accountable for quality of medical care, clinical standards, clinical outcomes and utilization management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership and direction to the Sexual Assault Service
- Develop and implement clinical standards and guidelines for the Sexual Assault Service
- Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes and utilization management for the Sexual Assault Service
- Cultivate alliances with other hospitals and community agencies for the coordination and provision of provincial services through partnerships and networking
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives for the Sexual Assault Service
- Participate in teaching and research activities related to women's health and sexual assault services
Requirements
- Medical Degree and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
- Advanced training and/or experience in sexual assault services, women's health and healthcare for vulnerable populations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, patients and families
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
