Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Mackenzie Health.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering holistic, patient-centered care to patients within the scope of practice identified by the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, demonstrating professionalism at every turn.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the interprofessional care team to create a world-class health experience for patients and their families.
  • Contribute to safe, quality care by managing workload effectively, addressing issues productively, exercising sound judgment, and contributing to a safe, inclusive environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • A current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • A current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (N.R.P.) certification.
  • Recent experience in NICU nursing.
  • Proven clinical experience with patient-focused care, including strong patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and documentation skills.
  • Experience working with electronic medical records.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and standards, including the Regulated Health Professions Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, and the Standards of Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated strong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and adapt to new or unexpected events.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications

Prioritize hiring candidates with:

  • A baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an approved nursing program.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Recent completion of a physical assessment course.
  • Membership in the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)/Canadian Nurses Association (CNA).
  • Perinatal Nursing Courses/Certificate.
  • T.A.B.L.E. course.
  • OBS or pediatric experience.
Salary Information

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
