About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Woodworking Machine Operator to join our team at Premiere Custom Millwork and Fireplace Ltd. As a CNC Woodworking Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts
  • Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces
  • Operate preset special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions from supervisors or colleagues
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Replace parts as required to maintain machine efficiency
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
  • Knowledge of computer numerical control (CNC) machines
