We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Specialist, Substance Use, Northern Region to join our team and contribute to our mission of promoting healthy, vibrant, and self-determining communities.
About the Role
As a Healthcare Specialist, Substance Use, Northern Region, you will play a key role in advancing our vision of promoting healthy communities. You will work collaboratively with lived experience voices, partners, and policing services to guide individuals impacted by substance use toward solutions, services, and awareness.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 3-5 years of recent and relevant experience in substance use prevention or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, psychology, or public health
- Naloxone training, First aid level 1 (with CPR), HEP B shot, and flu vaccine
- In-depth knowledge of the BC healthcare system and the current landscape of First Nations health in BC
