We're seeking a highly skilled Mission Intelligence Coordinator Instructor to join our team in Ottawa. As a key member of our Canadian Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) Operational Training Unit (OTU) instructor cadre, you will be responsible for delivering the Mission Intelligence Coordinator (MIC) MQ-9B course, incorporating theory, synthetic, and live phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the MIC MQ-9B course, ensuring consistent training with training objectives and teaching points in the training plan.
  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) support to the joint Pilot and Sensor Operator (SO) MQ-9B course.
  • Collaborate with other aircrew experts to develop and deliver training programs.
  • Compile student sortie progress and course debrief reports.
  • Report instructional issues and deficiencies relative to course delivery.
  • Work autonomously to tackle a broad scope of requirements for Mission Crew student and customer representatives.
  • Effectively deliver oral presentations to Mission Crew students, customers, and CAE management.
  • Contribute to the development of courseware and teaching aids.
  • Liaise and contribute to student course scheduling.
  • Perform occasional travel in support of the project.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or on a valid Work permit.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods and a Government of Canada NATO SECRET security clearance.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Previous experience with MQ series platforms.
  • Formal training in Instructional Techniques.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) construct.
  • Intelligence support to Maritime tasking experience.
  • Experience in supporting kinetic effects.
  • Exposure to Operating in Tactical airspace.
  • Experience in supporting intelligence-focused Close Air Support.
  • Experience with a Standards Unit or Central Flying School.
  • 100 formal instructional hours.
  • Manned ISR collection assets experience.
