About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at Scanway Catering Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and cooking of complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Analyze Operating Costs: Analyze operating costs and other data to identify areas for improvement and optimize kitchen performance.
  • Lead Kitchen Operations: Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations and high-quality food preparation.
  • Prepare and Cook Meals: Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events, including banquets and special functions.
  • Consult with Clients: Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Plan Menus: Plan menus and ensure that food meets quality standards, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Cuisine Specialties: Develop and maintain expertise in international cuisine, ensuring that our menu offerings are diverse and appealing to a wide range of clients.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Catering firm.
  • Ranks of Chefs: Chef de Partie.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 to 44 hours per week.
