Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Payroll Expert to join our team in Aurora, Canada. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for managing large-scale payrolls for over 2500 employees in Canada and the US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for hourly and salaried employees in union and non-union environments.
  • Prepare and reconcile third-party remittances as defined by due dates.
  • Balance assigned payrolls based on year-end calendars and participate in audits of other payrolls.
  • Set up initial garnishment and maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records.
  • Complete year-end balancing, filing, and delivery of T4s and/or W2s, as well as tax form amendments as required.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts as requested.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience processing large-scale payrolls in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active PCP or FPC designation or willingness to obtain designation.
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce required.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with proven ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Detailed-oriented with a superior track record of achieving high-quality results.
  • Advanced Excel skills for reporting, metrics, and data validation.
