Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Risk Management Expert to join our team at Northbridge Financial Corporation. This role is responsible for promoting and delivering advanced risk management techniques to our customers.

About the Role:

The Insurance Risk Management Expert will work closely with our clients to identify hazards and controls for risks through site assessments and customer interviews. They will develop best practices and serve as subject matter experts in their field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Critical thinking and investigation skills to analyze complex risk scenarios
  • Strong relationships and partnership-building abilities to work with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Autonomy and ability to manage field and office work effectively

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education and/or industry-specific experience in engineering or engineering technology (fire protection, mechanical, electrical etc.)
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a related field, such as risk consulting or engineering
  • Working knowledge of NFPA standards and fire/building codes
  • Experience in assessing commercial automobile fleets is an asset
  • Level 1 Infrared thermography certification is an asset
  • Experience in agricultural and/or course of construction (COC) risk is an asset
  • Advanced level of skill and knowledge understanding of risk and insurance management
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions, be outdoors, and potentially climb ladders
