Job Title: Property Acquisition Manager, Rail

WSP USA is seeking a highly experienced Property Acquisition Manager to join our Rail & Transit team in the Greater Toronto Area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a project's property portfolio, ensuring seamless acquisition and management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement property management plans to minimize financial, environmental, and reputational risk.
  • Manage property acquisition timelines and create schedules for property acquisitions.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with property acquisition.
  • Engage with project stakeholders to understand their needs and pursue their buy-in for the project.
  • Prepare presentations, drawings, and internal workflows to complete project works.

Requirements:

  • University degree or college diploma in a relevant field, such as Law, Real Estate, Appraisal, Business Administration, or Geography.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in property acquisition or large-scale public infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of the property acquisition process for government infrastructure projects within Ontario.
  • Experience with project management processes, including meeting cost and schedule requirements.
  • Property acquisition experience working on transit or transportation projects with MTO, Metrolinx, TTC, and/or Regional Road.

  • Excellent organizational, verbal communication, and technical report writing skills.
  • Knowledge of alternative project delivery methods, including design-build and progressive design-build.
