About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Program Manager to join our team at Telesat Corp. as part of our Lightspeed program. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the program forward by coordinating information, providing support through data analysis, and contributing to overall strategy and performance evaluation.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Program Schedulers and Program Analysts of various levels of experience, mentoring and guiding them to align their tasks to program objectives.
  • Manage a team's activities, resource allocation, and reviews.
  • Analyze and assess IMS processes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, ensuring projects align with Lightspeed business and engineering goals.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the Lightspeed Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), including conducting ongoing gaps analysis.
  • Track progress of each individual project and the Lightspeed IMS as a whole.
  • Set and communicate deadlines for specific tasks.
  • Develop/maintain the Lightspeed program plan and provide guidance to segment project managers for their project plans.
  • Review documentation for project creation, development, and implementation.
  • Analyze financial data.
  • Distribute and allocate PMO resources.
  • Calculate risk for each project.
  • Produce financial reports and budget outlines.
  • Create reports for senior managers and stakeholders.
  • Participate in strategic planning regarding program development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.
  • 6-9 years of experience in project analysis, project management, project oversight, and coordination.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management, collaboration, productivity, and reporting tools/methodologies.
  • Experienced and skilled in the use of planning and scheduling tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in dealing with clients, internal and external stakeholders, senior management, and staff.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary, high-performing teams.
Salary Estimate

$125,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on experience.
