Job Title: Architectural Design Specialist

At JussConstruct, we are seeking an experienced Architectural Design Specialist to join our team. As an Architectural Design Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing building plans and detailed drawings for residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop building plans and detailed drawings for residential construction projects
* Consult with clients to determine their design needs and preferences
* Collaborate with contractors and tradespeople to ensure that designs are feasible and meet building codes
* Manage the coordination and integration of technical activities in architecture or engineering projects

Requirements:

* 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in architecture or a related field
* College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
* Excellent communication and project management skills

Work Environment:

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Work Setting: Residential

Tasks:

* Adjust designs to conform to limiting factors such as budget allocation and cost of materials
* Award construction contracts to building contractors
* Consult with clients to determine the type, style and purpose of renovations or new building construction being considered
* Generate building plans and detailed drawings to be used by contractors and tradespersons
* Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in architecture or engineering projects
* Negotiate contracts with clients with a focus on design, construction time, price or others
* Participate in contract negotiations
* Prepare documents showing both the structural needs and the materials required for construction
* Project management
* Supervise the preparation of drawings, specifications and other construction documents for use by contractors and tradespersons
* Work in limiting factors, such as town planning laws and environmental impact assessments
