About the Role

Akhira Trucking INC is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy trucks, as well as maintaining equipment and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair heavy trucks, including diagnosing faults and malfunctions using computerized testing equipment
  • Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment
  • Order parts and maintain inventory, ensuring that all necessary components are available for repairs
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, ensuring that all work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation up to date, including records of repairs and maintenance performed
  • Assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing, as needed
Requirements
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, as needed
