Key Responsibilities- Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of landscape construction workers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to complete projects efficiently.
- Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Oversee the execution of landscape construction projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards.
- Repair and Maintain Equipment: Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition, performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Source and procure necessary materials, equipment, and supplies for projects.
- Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Clean Snow and Ice from Walkways and Parking Areas: Ensure that all outdoor areas are safe and accessible during winter months.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in landscape construction or a related field.
- Work Site Environment: Outdoor worksite environment.
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with chain saws, pick-up trucks, small engine equipment, tractors, and sprayers or dusters.
- Area of Work Experience: Snow removal.
- Area of Specialization: Interior landscaping, grounds maintenance, and landscape construction.
- Equipment: Small tractors with lawn and snow removal attachments.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads and physically demanding work.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, and team player.
