We are seeking a skilled Claims Associate to join our team at Impact Recruitment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the claims team with claims handling and investigations, and will serve as the primary point of contact for customers and broker partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the claims team and management in meeting objectives for efficient and effective claims handling, including data entry, updating information in various claim technologies, issuing payments, and adjusting reserves according to claim procedures.
  • Manage correspondence in the claims process on behalf of the claims team, including notification, case reserves, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, settlement, subrogation, reinsurance recoveries, and closure.
  • Respond to inquiries from brokers and customers regarding the status of claims.
  • Provide support and coordinate claims management meetings, including committee meetings.
  • Conduct research and report on specific issues related to claims and risk management, working closely with management.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree or College Diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent insurance experience. CIP designation complete or in progress.
  • Effective negotiation, selling, and advocating skills, with the ability to organize and complete work on time and within budget.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
