About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at the Yellowknife Veterinary Clinic and Boutique. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients and their pets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the front desk operations, including scheduling appointments, handling client inquiries, and processing payments.
- Provide warm and welcoming service to clients and their pets, ensuring a positive experience in our clinic.
- Assist with the management of medical records, including retrieving and storing patient information.
- Monitor the clinic's waiting area, examining rooms, and boutique to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for clients and staff.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as generating invoices and consent forms, and processing incoming and outgoing mail.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and veterinarians.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and professional attitude.
Working Hours
- Monday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed (available for emergencies only)
