Job Title: Advanced Practice Clinical Leader

Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full-time, permanent Advanced Practice Clinical Leader in CYEAP. Reporting to Clinical Director Child CYEAP, Professional Practice Office, you will be part of a team of Advanced Practice Clinical Leaders (APCL's) that support a variety of patient populations in CAMH's Child, Youth and Emerging Adult Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support inpatient/outpatient point-of-care teams
  • Provide team-based clinical supervision
  • Advance clinical care for specialized populations
  • Implement and evaluate best practices in assessment, care planning, and discharge planning
  • Provide consultation services to interprofessional teams
  • Support family engagement initiatives, quality improvement initiatives, and patient and staff safety strategies
  • Preceptorship of graduate students
  • Engage in evaluation and research
  • Participate in interprofessional academic opportunities
Requirements:
  • Master Degree in a Health Sciences Discipline
  • Member in good standing with the respective regulatory College
  • Eligibility for cross-appointment with the University of Toronto
  • Five years clinical experience involving clients with mental health and addiction

The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership in practice development, ability to challenge and motivate others, commitment to enhancing academic and research endeavors, understanding of and commitment to issues related to promoting diversity, monitoring and measuring outcomes, and experience in leading change.

Extensive knowledge of best practices for the care and treatment of high risk or acute mental health clients is required. Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, teaching, and computer skills are essential. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
