Job Title: Advanced Practice Clinical Leader

Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full-time, permanent Advanced Practice Clinical Leader in CYEAP.

About the Role

As a key member of the Clinical Director Child CYEAP team, you will provide clinical leadership and support to inpatient/outpatient point-of-care teams, advance clinical care for specialized populations, and implement best practices in assessment, care planning, and discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide team-based clinical supervision and advance clinical care for children and youth with severe mental health challenges, substance use, and trauma histories.
  • Support inpatient/outpatient point-of-care teams and provide consultation services to interprofessional teams in other clinical programs as needed.
  • Develop and maintain integrated care pathways to enhance patient population outcomes and participate in program planning and evaluation.
  • Participate in internal and external committees and serve as a clinical resource and subject matter expert in program-level and organizational-level strategic planning activities.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a Master Degree in a Health Sciences Discipline and be a member in good standing with the respective regulatory College. Nursing is preferred, and eligibility for cross-appointment with the University of Toronto is required. Five years of clinical experience involving clients with mental health and addiction is preferred.

Professional development for work with specialized populations is provided for candidates with a willingness and aptitude to learn new skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, teaching, and computer skills are required. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
