We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Digital Transformation. This role will play a key part in delivering cutting-edge technology solutions for high-speed rail systems.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the concept of operations, system architecture, and leading scope/requirement discussions with technical teams and customers. They will also identify, define, control, and manage system interfaces, decompose system requirements, and serve as the project's cross-functional technical interface.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define Concept of Operations for the project including identifying operational scenarios and use cases.
  • Develop System Architecture for the project (logical, functional, and physical architectures).
  • Lead scope/requirement discussions with technical teams and customer.
  • Manage system interfaces, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility.
  • Decompose System Requirements to lower-level elements and work with engineering teams to ensure proper allocation.
  • Serve as the project's cross-functional technical interface between product development, engineering, manufacturing, verification & validation, commissioning, and RAMS teams.
  • Support project Engineering in all technical decisions.
  • Contribute to optimal overall project technical solution.
  • Collaborate on lab, factory, and field testing.
  • Execute System Integration Test.
  • Analyze impact of proposed changes to the system and support System Configuration Management throughout the lifecycle.
  • Provide support to Projects external stakeholders (Customers, Users, Tenders) and participate in budget estimation.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years engineering experience with a minimum of 5 years as a lead systems/design engineer.
  • Extensive understanding and/or prior experience with engineering lifecycles, delivery, and HW/SW integration lifecycle and demonstrate the ability to deliver solutions to closure.
  • Prior experience managing small-medium sized projects and project teams.
  • Strong prior experience with Microsoft Office suite, requirements management systems (e.g., Doors), product lifecycle management systems, defect tracking tools, and software configuration tools.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in applying fundamental Systems Engineering concepts:
    • V-lifecycle,
    • System Architecture,
    • Requirements Management,
    • Configuration Management,
    • Interface Management.
  • Deep competency in interactions between mechanical, electrical, and software components in complex electromechanical systems.
  • Ability to multitask across multiple projects at a given time.
  • Experience with Construction / Civil Work and application standards.
    • High Speed Railways System,
    • Power systems including traction power and medium to low voltage designs,
    • EMI / EMC system integration and validation,
    • Telecoms and Network designs,
    • Automated control design and development systems,
    • Conventional signaling control designs,
    • CBTC (Communication based train control) systems and designs.
    • Experience in BIM design process.

Education and Language

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.

English language proficiency required.
