Senior Software Engineer, Design Systems

As a senior software engineer on the design systems team, you will play a key role in advancing VTS' front-end craft and leading the engineering efforts of designing, developing, and integrating Terra, the design system of the VTS Platform, into VTS' various products. You will be responsible for recommending initiatives, evangelizing state-of-the-art practices, techniques, and tools, and collaborating closely with designers and the wider engineering, product, and QA organization to ensure consistency within the front ends of our products and efficiency in their continued development.

Key responsibilities include shipping customer value within small, cross-functional teams, deploying daily, and relying heavily on a variety of QA strategies, including automated testing and CI. You will also participate in group code reviews, be part of a knowledge-sharing culture, and use agile principles and practices alongside six-week delivery cycles to deliver value.

As a senior software engineer, you must have several years of experience delivering high-quality software within a single-page application React stack. Experience building design systems and working with React Native mobile applications is highly desirable. You are a practitioner of an agile software process, can work autonomously and in a self-directed manner with the support of the larger team, and have strong values towards good testing practices. You are able to translate technical and design concepts when communicating with designers and fellow engineers.
