Geotechnical Rock Mechanics Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Rock Mechanics Engineer to join our team in North Bay, Ontario. Knight Piésold is a leading global engineering consulting firm with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional results in the industry.

As a Geotechnical Rock Mechanics Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on projects worldwide, developing your skills and expertise.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Geological or Mining Engineering and be a registered or eligible Professional Engineer. A minimum of 4 years of experience in rock mechanics and proficiency in English are essential. The role may involve travel, both within Canada and internationally, to cater to our clients' needs.

Additional assets include a graduate degree in rock mechanics, consulting experience, familiarity with numerical modeling, and proficiency in Spanish or French.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate geomechanical site investigations
  • Classify rock masses and define geomechanical domains
  • Conduct numerical modeling and stability assessments for excavations
  • Manage projects and travel as required
