Job Title: Experienced Rock Mechanics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer with expertise in Rock Mechanics to join our team at Knight Piésold's North Bay, Ontario office.

Knight Piésold is a global engineering consulting firm with a rich history of delivering exceptional services to the mining industry. Our team is committed to providing innovative solutions to complex geotechnical challenges.

As a Rock Mechanics Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing geomechanical site investigations, rock mass classification, and numerical modeling. You will also contribute to project management and coordination, and travel domestically and internationally to meet client needs.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in Geological or Mining Engineering, a bachelor's or graduate degree, and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with PEO. A minimum of 4 years of experience in rock mechanics and fluency in English are also required.

A graduate degree in rock mechanics, experience in the consulting industry or an operating mine, and proficiency in Spanish or French are considered assets. If you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong technical competence, we encourage you to apply.
