As a Data Engineering Leader, you will play a key role in shaping our data management strategy. You will oversee the design, development, and optimization of sophisticated data pipelines, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor junior data engineers to promote excellence and growth
  • Collaborate with customers to facilitate compliant access to sensitive data
  • Lead the management and optimization of data pipelines for compliance processing
  • Develop and maintain a robust and compliant data infrastructure
  • BUILD APIs for integration with internal systems and third-parties
  • Maintain data quality and pursue continuous improvement and innovation in data governance practices

About You

  • 7-8 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
  • Comfortable with one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Scala, Python
  • Experience in production with cloud computing platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Expertise in streaming and batch-based technologies including Flink, Kafka, Spark
  • Production experience with version control tools and containerization
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Familiar with privacy legislation and its implications on data collection, reporting, and compliance
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with data partners independently

Salary

The standard base pay range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 CAD per year, depending on experience, performance, and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation.
