Role Overview

The Account Growth Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing UniFirst Corporation's value by retaining and growing its largest key accounts. This position is responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, driving revenue growth, and identifying new business opportunities.

Job Summary

This challenging role requires an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain strong relationships with key personnel at all levels within assigned accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular visits, scheduling bi-annual account reviews, and using internal and external resources to retain customers, increase rental revenue, and provide additional product information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel and decision-makers at all levels within assigned accounts through proactive outreach and meetings on and off account site.
  • Conduct regular visits and schedule bi-annual account reviews (utilize tools such as report cards to quantify service performance).
  • Utilize internal and external resources to retain customers, increase rental revenue, provide additional product information, and develop new revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records with all pertinent information on a daily basis.
  • Maintain customer contract/PO status and renew contracts/POs before they expire.
  • Collaborate closely with all UniFirst departments to ensure customer satisfaction exceeds expectations.
  • Generate leads to turn over to Service and Sales teams (when necessary).
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 to 5+ years of successful sales and/or service experience.
  • Ability to travel approximately 70% - 80% for customer interfacing.
  • Excellent people, communication, and interpersonal skills for relationship building.
  • Strong contract and negotiation skills.
  • Good judgment/decision-making.
  • Problem-solving (solutions and execution).
  • Order writing, proposals, and pricing.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $75,000, plus commission. Additional benefits include employee referral programs, supplemental health insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, vacation time, sick leave, paid holidays, and an employee discount program.
