Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Governance Manager to join our team at Société Financière Manuvie. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with our Third Party Risk Management Standard and contributing to the development and delivery of relevant policies, processes, and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Team Decisions: Participate in strategic planning and team decisions, and contribute to the development of policies, processes, and tools to support procurement governance.
  • Regulatory Governance: Ensure completion and compliance for all activities related to regulatory governance, and act as a subject matter expert on regulatory requirements relating to vendor risk management.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Perform data aggregation, data analytics, and reporting activities, and provide and maintain vendor risk reporting mechanisms.
  • Key Risk Metrics and Performance Metrics: Aggregate key risk metrics and performance metrics, and provide to the Strategic Procurement Office for reporting to the Enterprise Risk Committee, Operational Risk Committee, and Board Risk Committee.
  • Follow-on Reporting and Monitoring: Ensure follow-on reporting and monitoring on third-party related issues and corrective action plans.
  • Vendor Risk Issues and Compliance Problems: Escalate vendor risk issues and compliance problems that have not been adequately addressed.
  • Communication and Training: Support the development and execution of a robust communication and training plan to facilitate the effective awareness and application of the Global Procurement and Third Party Management Standard.
  • Staying Informed: Stay informed about the latest developments in the vendor risk management field.
Requirements
  • Education: Undergraduate degree (business preferred)
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive business experience, preferably including procurement, vendor management, and/or risk management
  • Knowledge: Familiar with Manulife's business operations, strategies, and financial environment; working knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to management of third-party outsourcing in the jurisdiction in which Manulife operates; working knowledge and application of industry vendor risk management principles and vendor risk analysis and governance best practices
  • Skills: Problem analyzer and decision maker; ownership and makes informed and timely decisions; proven innovator; team builder; skilled communicator
