Indigenous Relations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indigenous Relations Manager to join our team at BrandSafway. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities in Eastern Canada.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to foster strong relationships with Indigenous communities, aligning with our company's broader corporate objectives.
- Community Engagement: Liaise with supply chain and other functions to establish and maintain relationships with Indigenous Business Suppliers and Partners, participating in community events and programs that benefit Indigenous communities.
- Awareness and Education: Lead and deliver Indigenous awareness and communication programs to educate staff about local heritage and culture, identifying and inviting speakers from Indigenous communities to share their heritage and culture with staff.
- Program Coordination and Reporting: Assist in the development and implementation of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business's (CCAB) Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) program, maintaining progress against goals and milestones, and reporting and communicating ongoing efforts to senior management.
- Experience: Proven experience in Indigenous Relations, community engagement, or a related field, with a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, communities, and business practices in Eastern Canada.
- Qualifications: Experience in developing and implementing training and mentorship programs, familiarity with CCAB's Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) program is an asset.
