Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AVP, Retail Loss Prevention to join our team at Canadian Tire Corporation. As a key member of our Corporate Security and Loss Prevention department, you will play a critical role in overseeing the loss prevention activities for our corporate owned retail banners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to minimize loss and protect company assets across all corporate owned retail banners.
  • Lead and manage a team of Loss Prevention professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement loss prevention projects and pilots.
  • Conduct regular audits of stores and related ecosystems to assess compliance with loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate and promote best practices in support of holistic shrink plans and targets.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of 5+ years in a leadership role within a retail loss prevention or corporate security environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or post-secondary education in Criminal Justice, Police Foundations, and/or Investigations, Criminology Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of loss prevention techniques, including investigations, and familiarity with provincial and federal legislative regulations.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team while fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
