We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Maple Route Logistics. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record-Keeping
- Accurately record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and maintain general ledgers, journals, and other financial records.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Accounting and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other financial reports.
- Other Responsibilities
- Perform other financial and administrative tasks as required.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software, including Simply Accounting and Sage Accounting Software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively is essential.
