About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Obra African Foods. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Payroll Administration: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, excellent attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. They will also be able to work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy.

Language and Work Environment

The work language is English, and the work environment is a permanent position with 30 to 40 hours per week.
