Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Technologist I to join our team at Grande Prairie Rgnl Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory department, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, and results analysis of diagnostic samples.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment, and research.
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with a regular schedule. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and may be required to work varying shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
