Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technologist I to join our team at Grande Prairie Rgnl Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory department, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, and analysis of diagnostic samples.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment, and research.
  • Conduct testing and analysis of samples to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of laboratory performance.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time temporary position with a shift pattern that includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call duties. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and must be able to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed.

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is $35.45 - $46.69, depending on experience.
