Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at WTC TRUCKING BC INC. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our fleet of vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from our vehicles, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and protected.
  • Operate and Drive Vehicles: Operate and drive our straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain our vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to our central dispatch team, ensuring that all communication is clear and concise.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as required by our company and regulatory agencies.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of our cargo at all times, including tarping and securing cargo as needed.
Requirements
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate strong attention to detail, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically capable of performing the demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced transportation environment.
  • Judgement: Use sound judgement when making decisions, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
  • Organized: Be highly organized, prioritizing tasks and managing your time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Reliability: Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
