Sandhu Express Inc is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.
Key Responsibilities:- Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from our trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
- Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of our vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
- Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs to ensure that our trucks are always in good working condition.
- Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure that our trucks are safe and compliant with regulations.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of our cargo, including tarping and handling of hazardous materials.
- Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
- Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Work Hours: 50 hours per week.
