The Opportunity

Perimeter Institute is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its advancement effort in developing and executing a strategic plan to secure private funding. The Chief Advancement Officer will report to the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer and be responsible for building a diverse donor base, fostering ongoing engagement, and delivering at the highest levels.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in private fundraising, donor engagement, and strategic partnerships. They will work closely with the Board, Director, and Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer to deepen internal coordination and capacity. This is a permanent position open to all Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and those legally able to work in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive advancement strategy
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors and prospective funders
  • Collaborate with the Board, Director, and Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer to deepen internal coordination and capacity
  • Lead and implement bespoke, ambitious, sustainable, long-term private funding strategies
