The Opportunity

Perimeter Institute is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its advancement effort in developing and executing a strategic plan to secure private funding. The Chief Advancement Officer will report to the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer and be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with donors, developing and implementing fundraising strategies, and providing guidance to the Board and senior leadership on advancement matters.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in fundraising and development, with a strong understanding of the philanthropic landscape and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. They will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive advancement strategy to secure private funding for Perimeter Institute
  • Build and maintain relationships with key donors and stakeholders
  • Provide guidance to the Board and senior leadership on advancement matters
  • Work closely with the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer to ensure alignment with the Institute's overall strategy
