Patient Flow Operations Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leader Patient Flow Operations to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. Reporting to the Utilization/Patient Flow Manager, this role is responsible for the Nursing Administration and coordination of safe, efficient patient care services within the facility. The successful candidate will ensure staffing levels are adequate to meet patient census and supervise nursing staff, as well as coordinate all hospital and bed utilization activities in the absence of hospital administration.
The Leader Patient Flow Operations will work collaboratively and consultatively with patients/clients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners and service providers to apply strategic and analytical thinking to address challenges with the ultimate goal of high quality, safe and cost-effective services to better support the patient experience/outcome.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a strong background in nursing, preferably with a minimum of three (3) years medical/surgical experience or equivalent in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years' nursing management experience and be registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing. BCLS is required, and ACLS is an asset. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership, planning, organization and time management skills, as well as the ability to promote and maintain good interpersonal relations in dealing with patients, visitors and other health professionals.

Hours and CompensationThis is a casual relief position, and the hourly rate is $53.34.
