About the Opportunity
The Leader Patient Flow Operations is a key role within our organization, responsible for the Nursing Administration and the coordination of safe, efficient patient care services within the facility. This includes ensuring staffing levels are adequate to meet patient census, supervising nursing staff, and coordinating all hospital and bed utilization activities.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate safe, efficient patient care services within the facility
- Ensure staffing levels are adequate to meet patient census
- Supervise nursing staff
- Coordinate all hospital and bed utilization activities
- Work collaboratively and consultatively with patients/clients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners and service providers
About You
We're looking for a skilled and experienced leader to join our team. If you have the following qualifications and experience, we'd love to hear from you:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
- Minimum of three (3) years medical/surgical experience or equivalent in an acute care setting
- Minimum of two (2) years' nursing management experience
- BCLS required
- ACLS is an asset
- Demonstrated leadership, planning, organization and time management skills
- Ability to promote and maintain good interpersonal relations in dealing with patients, visitors and other health professionals
- Ability and knowledge to match utilization needs to resources available
- Ability to perform duties that involve lifting, bending and stretching
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
