Senior Technical Investigator

**About the Role**
We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in investigating and resolving building and structural claims.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist the Claims team in quickly and efficiently guiding the resolution of building and structural claims.
- Complete mandates for our internal and external experts and work in collaboration with our building evaluators.
- Meet with insured parties and fully understand the circumstances surrounding their claim.
- Document the scene and state your opinion as to the probable cause of the damage.
- Record your opinion in writing and intervene to contribute to conflict resolution in the course of a claim by providing your technical insight.
- The types of claims can vary, including brick wall detachments, cracks in a building's foundation, in-ground pool damage, collapses or retrofits.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of buildings, construction methods and codes.
- Experience in the insurance field and as an expert before the courts, as will be considered an important asset.
- Communication skills, both oral and written.
