Job Title: IT Supplier and Asset Management Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Supplier and Asset Management Expert to join our team at Desjardins Group. As an IT Supplier and Asset Management Expert, you will be responsible for managing IT suppliers and assets for one of our administrative units. You will work closely with the department manager to lead and influence practitioners on business relations and cross-sector strategic projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Asset Management: Deliver a comprehensive report of the IT assets and suppliers for the administrative unit under your responsibility, including gaps in volumes, decommissioning and obsolescence, financial optimizations, 12- to 24-month renewals, and supplier performance.
  • Supplier Management: Help asset owners renew major IT agreements and support asset owners with new IT acquisitions.
  • Strategic Projects: Advise and help the manager of the IT Asset Management Department to position, plan, develop, execute, and monitor strategic projects and initiatives under your responsibility.
  • Procurement: Work with teams to draft technology requirements and assist with negotiations for strategic procurement teams that negotiate with suppliers to protect the organization's interests while maintaining long-term relationships with them.
  • Policies and Standards: Help develop and update policies, standards, models, and programs to support department operations and strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Issue Identification and Analysis: Identify and analyze issues, address significant issues, diagnose issues, and make recommendations to decision-making bodies.
  • Representation: Represent your unit before committees and external partners.
