Job Summary:

Yaskawa America, Inc. - Drives & Motion Division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Panel Shop Foreman to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the electrical panel assembly process, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of electrical technicians and assemblers to ensure efficient and effective production of electrical panels.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and implement changes to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards, including CSA 286 and UL 508A.
  • Manage inventory and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet customer specifications and company standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including work instructions, quality procedures, and training materials.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical panel assembly and manufacturing, with a strong background in electrical engineering and technology.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring a team of technicians and assemblers.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external customers.
  • Ability to read and comprehend schematics, wiring diagrams, and one-line diagrams.
  • Computer skills with a fundamental understanding of Microsoft suite of programs.
