At Scotiabank, we are committed to excellence in fraud prevention and detection. As a Senior Fraud Prevention Specialist, you will play a critical role in preventing and minimizing losses to the bank resulting from fraudulent activity.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for analyzing alerts generated by fraud monitoring systems and/or batch reports, identifying trends, and making decisions to block accounts or contact customers and branches to discuss suspicious activity.

You will also work closely with the rest of the Fraud Detection Team to share information and trends, ensuring large-scale fraud trends are identified and acted upon quickly. In the event of a large-scale fraud attack, you will work effectively with the team to identify potential points of compromise and take action to protect other Scotiabank cards at risk.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Fully bilingual in French and English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple Windows-based application systems
Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. This estimate is based on industry standards and the location of the job (Toronto, Ontario, Canada).
