Financial Fraud Prevention Specialist

At Scotiabank, we're looking for a highly skilled Financial Fraud Prevention Specialist to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. This role plays a critical part in preventing and minimizing losses due to fraudulent activity on payment cards and deposit accounts.
We offer an estimated salary of $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
About the RoleThis Financial Fraud Prevention Specialist will be responsible for analyzing alerts generated by fraud monitoring systems and/or batch reports, identifying patterns and trends, and taking proactive measures to block compromised accounts and prevent further fraudulent activity.
You will work closely with the Fraud Detection Team to share information and trends, ensuring large-scale fraud trends are identified and addressed quickly.
- Detect and prevent fraudulent activity on payment cards and deposit accounts
- Analyze alerts and identify patterns and trends

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English and French (reading, writing, and spoken)
Prior experience in retail banking or customer service is an asset, but not required.
