Position Overview:Under the supervision of the Director of Finance or their delegate, the Accounting Clerk will undertake the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:- Maintaining comprehensive records for financial operations and aiding in audit processes;
- Ensuring accurate and current data management for clients, students, vendors, and customers within the Great Plains Accounting System;
- Delivering exceptional client service;
- Inputting client funding packages and amendments, including support for student payroll processing;
- Accurate entry and management of vendor and customer invoices in both accounts payable and receivable;
- Timely processing of vendor payments and customer receipts;
- Performing additional tasks as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An Accounting or Business Certificate or Diploma;
- A combination of relevant experience and coursework will be considered;
- Familiarity with the Great Plains Accounting System is advantageous;
- Strong problem-solving abilities, multitasking skills, and the capacity to meet deadlines;
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team;
- Excellent organizational and computer skills;
- A solid understanding of the Métis community is a notable asset;
- Meticulous attention to detail is essential for this role.
