Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Administrator to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for processing and auditing sales cashups, supplier invoices, and interdepartmental transfers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and audit sales cashups, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Process supplier invoices, statements, and prepare correspondence
  • Process and audit interdepartmental transfers, maintaining accurate records
  • Complete gross margin calculations, providing insights for business decisions
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring financial accuracy
  • Assist in budget process, providing support as required
  • Assist with internal and external audits, maintaining compliance
  • Prepare period-end and year-end financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain patronage membership and equity ledgers, ensuring up-to-date records
  • Assist with maintaining petroleum records, providing support as required
  • Assist in by-weekly payroll administration, ensuring timely and accurate processing
Qualifications
  • Grade XII
  • Courses Required: Introductory Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I, and Intermediate Accounting II (or equivalents)
  • Completion of SIAST Accounting Certificate or equivalent would be considered an asset
  • One year of accounting-related experience, including data entry
  • Extensive experience with Office, specifically Outlook and Excel 1 & 2
  • Ability to work mornings and afternoons
