Job Summary:
Startec Compression & Process and Startec Service are seeking a highly skilled Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for securing HVAC service, maintenance, retrofits, and contract agreements with our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing company in the commercial HVAC industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new business within key product offerings, utilizing proven sales methods to identify and solicit potential clients.
- Prepare estimates, including parts and equipment sourcing, and deliver Startec quotations and proposals for new and renewal of service agreements.
- Log and record all sales opportunities within the CRM system.
- Provide weekly Sales Reports to the Sales Team, detailing services sold, quotes issued, sales pending, etc.
- Participate in job kick-off meetings with the Service HVAC Coordinator and mechanics, and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of sales and service activities.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineer, Engineering Technologist, EIT, HVAC Technician, or equivalent experience in commercial HVAC service.
- Minimum of 3+ years of work experience in a trade role and/or 3 - 5 years of sales experience.
- Proven experience as a Sales Representative or similar role in the commercial HVAC industry.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, components, and applications.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
