Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipping Manager to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling activities related to shipping and warehousing finished goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the shipping and warehousing team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of finished goods.
  • Plan and implement logistics strategies to optimize shipping operations and reduce costs.
  • Verify and count imports of finished goods to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics team to maintain accurate inventories of finished goods and conduct quality control checks.
  • Develop and implement corrective measures to improve the shipping process and reduce errors.
  • Coordinate with partners to optimize production plans and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Support production operations related to packaging image changes, government legislation, and the introduction of new products.
  • Maintain effective communication channels between the plant and departments, including Logistics, Finance, and Manufacturing Services & Logistics.

Requirements

  • College degree in management or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in production planning and supervision, preferably in a unionized manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mobilize others and work in a team environment.
  • Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.
