Job Title: Legal Executive

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Executive to join our dynamic organization. As a Legal Executive, you will provide critical legal and administrative support to our Legal team. This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of legal matters, with a particular focus on property matters, the agriculture industry, and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Proactively support the Legal team on a wide range of commercial, corporate, and company secretarial matters.
  2. Administer the Group's property matters.
  3. Provide excellent legal executive and administrative support to the Legal team.
  4. Manage and improve our contract database, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  5. Support the negotiation and drafting of contracts, variations, renewals, etc.
  6. Assist with reviewing and updating Company policies.
  7. Help continuously improve legal team processes.
  8. Liaise with stakeholders across the organization, as well as suppliers, customers, landlords, and external advisors.
  9. Conduct a variety of legal research.
Requirements:
  1. Legal Executive qualification with 5+ years of Post-Qualified Experience in New Zealand.
  2. Strong property law experience.
  3. Matter management and/or project management experience.
  4. Strong organizational skills and ability to work to team priorities.
  5. Excellent attention to detail.
  6. Thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  7. Proactive, solution-oriented, and motivated to 'get things done.'
  8. Ability to work independently, while also working well with a team.
  9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  10. Strong Microsoft Word skills required, and good Excel skills preferred.
