Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Executive to join our dynamic organization. As a Legal Executive, you will provide critical legal and administrative support to our Legal team.

The role offers the chance to work on a broad range of legal matters, with a particular focus on property matters, the agriculture industry, and contract management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively support the Legal team on a wide range of commercial, corporate, and company secretarial matters.
  • Administer the Group's property matters.
  • Provide excellent legal executive and administrative support to the Legal team.
  • Manage and improve our contract database, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support the negotiation and drafting of contracts, variations, renewals, etc.
  • Assist with reviewing and updating Company policies.
  • Help continuously improve legal team processes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the organization, as well as suppliers, customers, landlords, and external advisors.
  • Conduct a variety of legal research.
Requirements
  • Legal Executive qualification with 5+ years of Post-Qualified Experience in New Zealand.
  • Strong property law experience.
  • Matter management and/or project management experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work to team priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and motivated to 'get things done.'
  • Ability to work independently, while also working well with a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Word skills required, and good Excel skills preferred.
