Trade Compliance Specialist

The Trade Compliance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our import compliance programs. This position requires close collaboration with the trade compliance team to identify areas of risk, develop and implement control and compliance frameworks, and provide advisory mentorship and training.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain procedures to streamline the trade compliance assessment process.
- Oversee the company's FTA management program, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Manage vendor and sourcing compliance screening to minimize risk.
- Support special projects related to import and export activities, including customs compliance initiatives.
- Provide consultation and advice to senior management on areas of risk and compliance.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in trade compliance, with a strong understanding of Canada and U.S. customs fundamentals.
- Experience with trade management software and internet-based trade compliance programs.
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills, as well as problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously.
- Results-oriented with a strong determination to succeed, and a positive attitude with a commitment to learning and personal growth.
