Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Manager to oversee the efficiency and accuracy of our import compliance programs. The successful candidate will work closely with our trade compliance team to address areas of risk, develop and implement control and compliance frameworks, and provide advisory mentorship and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain procedures to streamline the trade compliance assessment process.
  • Oversee our company's FTA management program.
  • Manage vendor and sourcing compliance screening.
  • Support special projects related to import and export activities.
  • Support customs compliance projects such as trade verifications, self-corrections, and duty recovery.
  • Provide consultation and advice to senior management regarding areas of risk.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in trade compliance.
  • Knowledge of Canada & U.S. customs fundamentals - classification, country of origin, valuation, and FTAs.
  • Experience with trade management software and internet-based trade compliance programs.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills, as well as problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously.
  • Results-oriented with strong determination to succeed.
  • Positive attitude with a commitment to learning and desire for personal and professional growth.
  • Strong knowledge in Google applications, Microsoft Office, email, and internet software applications.
