We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator or Project Manager to join our Building Quality Assurance team at Egis Canada Ltd-CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our building projects.
Key Responsibilities- Drawing Reviews: Perform thorough reviews of architectural, specifications, shop drawings, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Field and Mock-up Reviews: Conduct periodic field and mock-up reviews to identify and address any issues or deficiencies.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and review reports, and communicate the results of reviews to clients, including meetings as needed.
- On-site Testing: Conduct on-site testing to validate the performance of building enclosures, including assessments for water and air leakage and guard rail systems.
- Client Support: Assist builders and developers in addressing new construction methods, deficiencies, or responding to claims of deficiencies.
- Business Development: Identify targets and meet new potential clients in support of our business development.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned within the Buildings Group.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Science, or Architectural Science.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in residential/commercial/industrial construction and/or building assessments.
- Designations: Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) or Building Science Specialist (BSS) designation or working towards obtaining would be considered an asset.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, excellent time management and organizational skills, proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, and a valid G driver's license.
